The Push for a Child Philosophy

The Push for a Child Philosophy introduces the Foundational Needs Model: the first framework to map the whole child across body, mind, and spirit. Grounded in peer-reviewed research and more than two decades of clinical practice, it offers what no mainstream child development model has managed: a way of reading children's behaviour, symptoms, and struggles, not as problems to be managed, but as communications from a body that knows exactly what it needs.

The child who stutters. The stomach aches. The one who can't sit still, won't sleep, keeps pushing back. These are not disorders - they are information.

Drawing on polyvagal theory, neuroscience, epigenetics, and the body-based wisdom of the chakra system, Dr Thérèse shows that children's wellbeing is not something you build from the outside, it is something you stop getting in the way of. She also shows why so many well-meaning adults struggle to see what children need: because their own unmet childhood needs, written into gene expression and the nervous system itself, shape everything they notice and respond to. But, this is not a book about blame. It is a book about seeing more clearly.

Written for parents, educators, and therapists, it begins with the child as they actually are: whole, capable, and already in possession of everything they need to flourish.

The child's body is speaking and this book teaches you how to listen.
